Born Marsha Laurent in the fishing village of Layou on Dominica’s west coast, STARSHA has been shaking stages since her debut single I Doh Fraid in 2017. Raised between Layou and St Joseph, she grew up surrounded by music — a family tradition that shaped her instinct for melody, rhythm, and storytelling.
What followed was a rapid rise through Dominica’s Bouyon and Soca scene — collabs with Triple Kay, Asa Bantan and Trilla-G, the 2022 Soca Artist of the Year, and a celebrated run as lead female vocalist for Signal Band.
Now fully solo, STARSHA is Dominica’s most exciting female voice in Caribbean music — versatile, magnetic, and just getting started.
